HIPS survey will soon be a mandatory requirement for all residential properties, when put up for sale or rented.

Facilitease have recently qualified as a DEA (Domestic Energy Assessor) and as such Facilitease will be licensed to carryout Home Energy Surveys and issue the requisite EPC (Energy Performance Certificate).

Although the HIPS package hasn’t been completely approved or even agreed by the government. The EPC is a directive from Europe and will be implemented. This in itself means it is a worth while service for any home owner.

Facilitease will be offering an independent service to people putting their homes on the market or need an EPC. By having an independent survey carried out the vendor will be flexible to put their property on the market with any agent and or transfer their sale from agent to agent easily. This hopefully will offer a better solution than having the survey done through an individual agent then struggling to get it off them if they choose to change agents.
